From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft was cleared a visual approach to runway 16 at palwaukee executive airport, Wheeling, Illinois (kpwk). After touchdown the pilot in command (PIC) applied thrust reversers and subsequently the brakes. PIC noticed that the brakes were not effective. The second in command (SIC) then tried to apply brakes, no effect. The PIC pulled the emergency brake to help slow the aircraft which locked up the main wheels on the main landing gear. The crew attempted to make taxiway d, which would have been a shallow turn to the left. Aircraft departed the runway into the grass damaging a runway sign and taxiway light. The right main landing gear collapsed.

Two people on board. No injuries. Damage to the aircraft was classified as substantial damage.
