From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On September 18th, at 17:09 EST, the PIC of an airplane conducting a local air tour operation taxiied from the ramp to an area the PIC conducted his runups. Upon reaching the area to perform the runup, the pilot began a left turn. As the airplane began the left turn, the right wing struck the left side of the windshield of a stationary helicopter. Simultaneously, the propeller of the airplane struck the helicopter’s rotor blade. The pilot of the helicopter was preflighting. The right wing of the aircraft pinned him between the left door and the helicopter. After the aircraft bounced back after the collision, the pilot of the helicopter was able to remove himself away from the collided aircraft. After the collision, the PIC of the airplane shut the engine down. He and the 2 passengers departed the airplane without incident.
