From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

After a night landing at kaex on rnwy 14, the aircraft drifted left after putting flaps up. The pilot applied brake pressure while using right rudder to bring the plane back to centerline. The aircraft slowed down but did not respond to the right pedal input and hit a runway light before coming to a full stop on the left edge of the rnwy 14. The pilot reported to ATC that the LH main tire was in the grass and that he needed some help. The pilot also reported there were 2 POB (pilot & pax) with no injuries before shutting down the aircraft at 2331 CDT (10/01/2023 0431Z). After shutting down and exiting the aircraft, the pilot discovered the LH main landing gear tire was flat. Post incident pictures show the tire drift marks on rnwy 14 and the runway light struck the aircraft approximately between the nose and RH main landing gear. The a&p/ia mechanic found no impact damage on his post incident airframe inspection.
