From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On October 6,2023 a preflight was conducted and PIC noticed an inaccuracy of the right fuel quantity guage but a visual check of the fuel was checked using the dipstick and both pilots calculated there was at least 3 hours of fuel on board for the flight. During the instructional flight to marathon, FL which was being conducted under 14CFR part 61, PIC noticed left fuel quantity guage wasn't moving during maneuvers and right fuel quantity guage started to move during straight and level flight. While returning back to Miami Executive Airport(tmb) left engine began to sputter, ran normal then eventally quit. During final approach to tmb right engine started to sputter, PIC troubleshot to recover engine then radioed mayday. Once wings were level right engine began to run normal and aircraft landed safely. An inspection of both fuel tanks by maintenance personnel on October 6,2023 revealed the presence of only residual fuel.

As the FAA filed it
