From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 10/09/2023, aircraft was on approach for runway 021R and requested to make a full stop. Immediately prior to touchdown, the PIC initially stated that wind conditions at time of touchdown were gusty. PIC also stated that he over-flared the aircraft and it began to porpoise immediately prior to touchdown. ATC personnel observed the aircraft porpoising on the runway as documented on FAA form 8020-9. Upon landing hard, the nose gear tire ruptured allowing the NLG rim and strut to contact the runway which led to full collapse/failure of the NLG. The propeller then struck the runway causing the aircraft to come to a stop nose down. Damage to the aircraft was minor in nature and was contained to the NLG components, prop, lower engine mount and minor buckling of the firewall.

As the FAA filed it
