From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

PIC started takeoff from unimproved grass field. Brought the aircraft up to takeoff speed. Lifted off runway, aircraft immediately began a left drift from centerline. Atempted to correct but continued to drift. The left horizontal stabilizer contacted the top of a wire fence located adjacent to airstrip. After rotation aircraft pulled hard to left causing a left roll that cuntinued until the aircraft was inverted, striking the ground and coming to a stop. PIC was able to exit the aircraft without assitance and sustained minor injuries. No mechanical discrepancies contributed to the accident. PIC acknowledged their operational error and was receptive to FAA iic counseling.

As the FAA filed it
