From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot indicated engine started a medium vibration while entering cruise flight above a cloud layer with icing. Pilot requested nearest airport from ATC and was given krdk and NOTAMS including rwy 5/23 being closed by minneapolis center (zmp). Pilot indicated he was task saturated and asked zmp to give him the best/quickest approach. Zmp gave pilot RNAV rwy 5. On final zmp again reminded pilot that runway 5 was closed and he would need to circle to land. Pilot landed on closed runway 5 striking a 2' high barrier with the left main gear. On rollout pilot veered to side of runway to avoid another barricade and left wing struck a skidloader located off the side of the closed runway. Rollout continued with pilot avoiding more barricades on the runway. Pilot applied power and taxied off runway, smelled fuel, shutdown airplane and evacuated with his passenger.
