From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 2 November 2023, the pilot was preparing for his first night flight in well over a year. He was completing recency

Requirements before taking anybody with him, this was his chance to see if he felt comfortable flying at night as a private pilot. After his first landing he came to a full stop and according to the "POH" calculations he had just enough distance to take off again. During take ground take off roll he noticed he was not going to be able to take off before reaching the end of the runway. He aborted the takeoff prior to becoming airborne by pulling power and braking. He believes the aircraft hit some ice on the runway causing it to slide off the runway and into the perimeter fence.

HE ABORTED THE TAKEOFF PRIOR TO BECOMING AIRBORNE BY PULLING POWER AND BRAKING. HE BELIEVES THE AIRCRAFT HIT SOME ICE ON THE RUNWAY CAUSING IT TO SLIDE OFF THE RUNWAY AND INTO THE PERIMETER FENCE.
