From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Flight originated on November 07, 2023 at kesn to kmtv and then continued from kmtv for kloz. At approximately 5 p.m. local time radio calls were made for final approach. Airspeed was at 80 mph to account for the extra weight of the passenger and baggage. Aircraft was on final and on center line. Pilot pulled engine throttle to idle in preparation for round-out and was within the first 800’ of the runway. The aircraft bounced but was upright, oriented correctly and pilot chose to execute a go around. Pilot reached for the throttle to add power and felt the nose immediately and rapidly drop despite efforts to keep aircraft aloft. Aircraft impacted runway a second time with a nose down orientation damaging the propeller and main landing gear. No injuries were sustained by pilot or passenger.
