From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

At approx. 0830 local, November 8, 2023, the pilot landed at hicks airport (T67) in Fort Worth, Texas. The pilot was taxiing to a parking spot, he claimed to strike a trash container with the right wing causing him to come into contact with a hangar approx. 15 feet to his right. Conditions were sunny, dry and clear. The pilot claims he was on the taxiway centerline at normal taxi speed, when a motorcycle appeared on the taxiway coming toward him. This taxiway was located between hangars. While focusing his attention on the motorcycle, the right-wing tip of his aircraft impacted an object and swung him to the right. His aircraft has a castering nose wheel and can only be steered by differential braking. He attempted to hard left brake and swing back to the taxiway but the right outboard wing impacted the corner of a hangar on the right side of the taxiway, and that impact swung the aircraft back to the right and the nose and propeller impacted the door of that hangar. No sudden prop stoppage . The aircraft was inspected at the hicks airport T67. It was tied down on the grass parking area just northwest of the hicks restaurant. The hangar in question is hangar 515 and the damage can be seen on the front of the door. The ntx FSDO was notified of the accident at 1600 08NOV2023 by roc who notified the FAA that NTSB had released the aircraft earlier that day. The iic dispatched to the scene 0800 09NOV2023. Arrived at 1030. The narative of the pilot does coincide with the damages reported on the aircraft and hangar. The prop had a .5" piece missing, spinner indications of spinning wear on the tip. The right wind shows evidence of buckling the entire length (substantial damage).
