From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 11/11/2023 at 1610 EST upon landing at Danbury Municipal Airport (dxr), CT after two successful approach and landings at orange county airport, NY (mgj) the pilot and co-pilot (CFI) stated that when the main landing gear of the aircraft touched down on runway 26 there was no issues noted but when the nose gear touched down the aircraft veered hard left into the grass parallel to the runway striking two taxiway lights with the left main landing gear support strut before coming to a stop. Post inspection of the aircraft noted the nose landing gear torque link was hanging down on the ground. Further inspection found that upper attach bolt was missing along with all associated hardware. The aircraft was then towed back to the ramp for further evaluation.
