What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Aircraft was on short final on the RNAV 24 into karb. The aircraft had experienced trace to light rime in IMC while on approach. Aircraft stalled on short final approximately 50-100' above runway elevation, touching down approximately 150' from the threshold of runway 24. The aircraft bounced, briefly airborne again before touching down near the 1000' markers. Following the bounce, the left main gear sheared from the aircraft. After touchdown the airplane pulled to the left, approximately 500' past the 1000' markers, then spun in the grass about 15-20' off the side of the runway. During the crash sequence the left gear was sheared off and landed on the runway numbers, the right gear was pushed through the wing and punctured the top side of the right wing before collapsing back into the wheel well. The nose gear was snapped forward towards the propeller and all four propeller blades were damaged from ground contact. The right wing was bent.
