The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
On 12-13-2023, the aircraft was on the 45 degree entry for right traffic at ksbp, after contacting the control tower.
Airspeed on the aircraft was approximately 120 KIAS and about 50 percent power setting. The cargo rollup door was closed and the pilot side storm window was open (down). The pilot heard an audible "pop" and felt a jostling of the flight controls. There were 5 occupants aboard 4 parachutists and the pilot. No one was injured. The tower cleared the aircraft to land and the pilot did not know the extent of the damages. Upon shutting down on the ramp the pilot inspected the damage and made the necessary phone calls to report the incident. The left aft roll up jump door departed the aircraft and hit the left hand leading edge horizontal sabilizer. No other damages were noted.
