From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot stated that upon landing on runway 21, he experienced a strong right quartering gust of wind. This resulted in the right wing lifting and the left tip tank striking the runway followed by the left main gear collapsing and the propeller striking the runway. The aircraft skidded to left side of the runway and into the grass at which time the nose and right main gear collapsed. Review of aircraft logbooks and maintenance records showed no other maintenace mitigating issues or factors contributing to the loss of control.
