From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot reported that he encountered extremely soft runway conditions after landing. During his taxi to the ramp the aircraft was pulled slightly to the right and then again to the left while in the mud, experiencing what felt like a flat tire on the LH side. The pilot immediately stopped the aircraft to get out and verify what was going on and noticed the tire/wheel assembly sitting crooked on the axle. The pilot contacted home base and at the direction of the director of maintenance was told to leave the aircraft in the middle of the runway.

A maintenance team was dispatched to go down to Karluk and replace the stub axle assembly. The replacement parts were installed and a field inspection of the aircraft was completed. The aircraft was then returned to service and flown back to kodiak without issue
