From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On February 21st, 2024, the incident aircraft experienced a gear up landing on runway 23R at ktys airport in Knoxville, TN. The aircraft had departed kmor in morristown, TN, for ktys. The incident aircraft was cleared for a visual approach to runway 23R at ktys. While in the flare, the PIC stated he heard the aircraft's lower fuselage strike the ground followed by the propellers making contact with the runway. The aircraft continued to decelerate down the centerline of runway 23R. The PIC completed an emergency shut down flow to secure the aircraft. The PIC exited the aircraft onto runway 23R with no injuries. The PIC stated this was a routine flight into ktys. He stated there were no unusual factors, distractions, or weather complications that would have interfered with normal extension of the landing gear. The PIC stated he did not recall when he extended or confirmed the landing gear was down and locked. A post incident examination of the aircraft revealed the gear handle in the down position and the landing gear system circuit breakers in. An extension of the gear post-incident revealed the gear extended as normal, with the gear unsafe annunciations working properly.
