From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On March 3, 2024, at 1306 local time, a privately registered Cirrus SR-22, was landing runway 21 at Eagle Creek Airpark (keye). During the landing, the pilot stated that he felt a noticeable vibration in the nose landing gear. The pilot then pulled back on the yoke and applied power. The noseof of the aircraft came up. The pilot then stated that he attempted to let the nose settle down again when he felt the vibration again. The aircraft began to porpoise and the nose bounced at least four times before the nose landing gear wheel failed. The tire and wheel assembly buckled under the nose strut. The propellers impacted the runway damaging all three propeller blades. The engine continued to run until the aircraft stopped on the runway. The pilot shut down the engine. There were two people on board, no injuries were reported.
