From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

This office was called by the regional operations command on 03/26/2024 at 3:30 pm, that a helicopter was shot at while flying over private property hog hunting around Wright City, Oklahoma. The game warden was called by the landowner and was told that they had shot at a helicopter over his property. Later recanted that statement and stated they shot at the ground. The game warden radioed the sheriff’s office about the incident. The officer inspected the aircraft and spoke to the pilots and crew. During the inspection no evidence of damage was found. The day after 03/24/2024 the sheriff’s office received another call from the operator of the helicopter that damage was found which consisted of a patch of indentions on the fuselage of the aircraft. The operator later stated it was a seatbelt that cause the damgage.
