From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 03/25/2024, at approximately 13:50 PDT, an Aviat A-1C-180 ground looped at Brackett Field (poc) causing minor damage to the aircraft. There were no injuries to the sole occupant. The PIC stated, "I was the PIC and also the only sole on board. I did not sustain any injuries from this event. I believe the winds were around 8 gusting 15 at the time of landing. Upon landing and during the rollout, directional control of the plane was lost and ended up doing a 360 on the runway. The plane never departed the runway. There was some damage on the right-wing tip, right aileron, and right landing gear strut".
