From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While the aircraft was descending through 10,000 feet above field elevation (afe), the flight crew provided the standard final descent double-chime notification to the cabin crew. The lead flight attendant (lfa) was in the forward section of the aircraft and three flight attendants (f/as) were in the aft galley. As the aft f/as were getting up from their jumpseats to conduct the final cabin walkthrough prior to landing, they felt a big jolt of air. The flight crew indicate that the aircraft entered a non-convective cumulous build-up and encountered moderate turbulence. Two of the aft f/as were lifted into the air with one f/a falling to the floor and injuring their foot. The aft f/as immediately notified the flight crew of the injury. The flight crew declared a medical emergency, and emergency personnel met the aircraft at the gate. The injured f/a was transported to urgent care, where they were diagnosed with a closed displaced fracture of the first metatarsal bone in the left foot.

As the FAA filed it
