From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On may 1st, 2024, at approximately 10:15 am, an AT-802A aircraft was conducting agricultural operations in a rectangular field with a half-moon shape on the north end field near lonoke Arkansas. Electrical power lines run northeast to southwest on the eastern half. A 500 ft tower stands in the northwest corner, across from the canal adjacent to the field. On his final swath run, he began on the west end, heading towards the tower. Reaching the half-moon end, he pulled up and veered right to avoid the tower. The pilot looked down momentarily to check his position, when he looked up, he realized he hadn't veered enough and clipped the guide-wires on the eastern side of the tower. The aircraft then went through the guide-wires and began a right spiral roll. The aircraft rolled twice and at approximately 1,135 feet, the aircraft nose-dived and impacted the ground. There were no fatalities, but the aircraft was destroyed.
