From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The little rock flight standards district office (FSDO) received a phone call with the NTSB and roc that an aircraft had made an emergency landing in a field 12 miles southeast of Walnut Ridge, AR, (karg). The Piper cherokee 180 had a complete power plant failure in flight. The aircraft departed karg enroute back to home airport, covington municipal airport (M04). On climb to cruising altitude PIC felt an engine vibration and decided to turn back to karg. On turn back to departure airport oil pressure dropped to "0" and engine seized. PIC initiated an emergency landing, landing in a farm field. After successful emergency landing, no damage was sustained to aircraft, and no injuries to the one person on board. Aircraft released to privacy data omitted, for transportation from field back to Walnut Ridge airport. Bmy
