From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft landing runway 17 with reported wind speed variable from the south. While on a coordinated final approach and during the initial flare, the winds appeared to have gusted forcing the nose of the aircraft to lift upward. The aircraft made contact with the runway three times increasing in impact each time until settling onto the runway. During rollout the aircraft suddenly veered to the right passing through the safe area onto the adjacent taxiway to a full stop. Moderate damage is to the three bladed propeller, the nose landing gear strut assembly, the nose landing steering linkages, and engine firewall structure. No injuries reported.
