From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On June 12, 2024, a PIC and passenger were performing a maintenance flight after a landing gear anomaly had been identified which was unable to be duplicated on the ground. The PIC departed and raised the landing gear handle to the up position but the transition light did not extinguish. The PIC then lowered the landing gear handle but was unable to get the light to extinguish. This was repeated several times without resolution. A spotter on the ground confirmed that the landing gear appeared to be down and locked. The PIC began landing approach and upon touch down, the landing gear collapsed underneath the aircraft causing minor damage. Maintenance has not yet identified the component/system that failed. If applicable, a SDR will be submitted and this report will be amended with required part details once they have been made available.
