The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
On 06/29/2024privacy data omitted a Mooney N20K, was involved in an incident at Durango, Co Airport (kdro) resulting in minor damage to the aircraft including a collapsed landing gear and bent propellers. There were two on board, pilot and passanger, and no reported injuries. Pilot stated that he was on a flight from kcma to kbjc with a planned fuel stop in kfmn. After landing at kfmn, he topped off both tanks and departed VFR. Pilot leveled off at 11,500 MSL for cruise. Upon passing kdro airport, he notified denver center that he planned to climb to 13,500 MSL. After intiating climb and switching to the right tank, the pilot noted a reduction in engine power. Pilot switched back to the left tank which did not restore full power. This started a descent during which the pilot ran through checklists to attempt to restart and restore power, which was unsucessful. He notified denver center who eventually transferred him to Durango tower (kdro). Pilot notified tower of issue with reduced power and intention to land runway 21. Pilot believed he still had limited power at this time. On final for 21 he configured the aircraft for landing and experienced a significant reduction of performance, increasing descent rate. Pilot realized he would not make the runway and sidestepped aircraft to the right to aim for a patch of grass, rather than hit localizer equiptment at the approach end of runway. Aircraft touched down on grass to the left of runway 21 and landing was uneventful until the nose gear collapsed shortly after crossing over the taxiway. Aircraft sustained damage to nosewheel landing gear and propeller.

ON 06/29/2024^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ A MOONEY N20K, WAS INVOLVED IN AN INCIDENT AT DURANGO, CO AIRPORT (KDRO) RESULTING IN MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT INCLUDING A COLLAPSED LANDING GEAR AND BENT PROPELLERS.
