From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot landed aircraft successfully, during rollout and at less than 20 knots a gust of wind combined with mechanical turbulance, the aircraft weathervaned. Directional control was momentarily lost due to lack of rudder authority, the left tire dropped into a small hole at the edge of the runway resulting in the aircraft turning left abruptly. The abrupt left turn resulted in the right wing of the aircraft contacting the surface of the unimproved portion of airport surface area. The right wing of the aircraft sustained substantial damage.

Pilot error/mismanaged controls in gusty conditions. Winds were calm and only momentarily gusty throughout the day of the accident.
