From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On September 1, 2024, the student PIC of privacy data omitted struck the propeller on landing at Wickenburg (E25) airport during a solo cross-country. The PIC was uninjured.

The investigation revealed the PIC approached the runway at a higher-than-normal glide angle due to the slope of the terrain along final approach. The student, not accustomed to the slope on final, stayed higher to keep clear of the terrain. The PIC taxied to parking to relax, exited the aircraft to inspect the plane, and noticed the propeller damage. He then contacted the flight school, who sent a rescue flight to ferry the student back to chandler (chd). The plane was transported by truck after that for repairs.

As the FAA filed it

ON SEPTEMBER 1, 2024, THE STUDENT PIC OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STRUCK THE PROPELLER ON LANDING AT WICKENBURG (E25) AIRPORT DURING A SOLO CROSS-COUNTRY.
