What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
A Whaley Aviation LLC Turbine Evolution was inflight from denton Texas (kdto) to Lawton fort Sill regional airport (klaw) on September 5, 2024 when the pilot noticed that the hydraulic pump was running excessively. Following procedures to prevent hydraulic pump overheat, the pilot pulled the cb and continued the short flight. During approach, the pilot pushed the hydraulic pump cb back in to extend the gear, but the gear would not extend. The pilot followed the emergency procedures to perform an emergency extension, the gear extended and showed all three down and locked with green indications on all three. The aircraft touched down at the 1,000 foot runway mark, and started roll-out when the right gear collapsed at the 3,000 foot runway mark. The collapsed right gear caused the right wingtip to contact the runway, causing the aircraft to take a right turn and exit the runway coming to rest in the grass off the runway. No injuries or subsequent fire.
