From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircraft departed st. george municipal airport (sgu) for Provo Municipal Airport (pvu) on 27 September 2025. The aircraft was approved for landing at pvu and during landing sequence the air traffic controller stated there was another aircraft still on runway 13 and instructed the landing aircraft to perform a “go around”. The aircraft on the runway started thier take-off during the subjet aircraft's “go around”. The air traffic controller asked the pilot if he was able to turn right to the “downwind leg” (parrallel to the runway) and the pilot replied that he can do it. The air traffic controller cleared the pilot to land again on runway 13 and the pilot acknowledged the request. When the aircraft turned to its base (perpendicular to runway to come in to land) the aircraft dropped nose-down towards the lake next to the airport. The pilot delpoyed the aircraft equipped parachute just before the aircraft made contact with the water. The aircraft was sumberged under water and roughly 2 miles northwest of the runway 13.

As the FAA filed it
