From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On October 2, 2024 at approximately 10:00 local time, a DC-3 received minor damage, while causing substantial damage to parked bell-206 during taxi at Atlanta regional airport- Falcon field -kffc, Peachtree City ga. The DC-3, eroute from hmp-mei, conducted a precautionary landing at ffc to troubleshoot possible engine issues. The DC-3 parked on the transient ramp at ffc while the crew-chief worked on the engine. Space on the transient ramp at ffc was limited due to construction. The limited space was also exceptionally busy with ga traffic due to hurricane relief flights loading supplies at the FBO. Once the crew-chief completed the work on the engine, the DC-3 taxied to rwy 31 for a run-up. While taxiing on the taxiway, the left wing tip of the DC-3 struck the tail-boom of the parked bell-206. The crew of the DC-3 didn't notice the impact, continued to taxi, completed the run-up and departed. UNICOM radioed the DC-3 to advise them of the occurrence. The DC-3 returned and landed.
