From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot reported they had flown in from another airport and landed at X09. Then they took off and leveled out at about 700' elevation. They heard a loud 'bang' and the aircraft began to shake, and was not making power. Pilot opted to return to airport and landed downwind on rwy 17. The airfield is a grass runway and the pilot was not able to stop the aircraft before it overran the south end of the runway, going through a wooden fence, and crossing a ditch, two lane county road, and another ditch. Aircraft came to rest upright, resting on the nose, in an empty field approximately 60-70 feet beyond the airport fence.
