From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot prepared for a flight from Scottsdale AZ to long beach CA. The pilot added takeoff power and verified performance was normal. As the aircraft reached 25 KTS on the departure roll it started to veer to the left. The pilot applied right rudder and re-verified power was within limits. The aircraft continued to pull left so the pilot pulled power to idle but the aircraft exited the runway and entered the infield where large rocks peppered the airframe leaving dents in the porp and making holes in the aircraft skin. The aircraft came to rest in the rock infield where it was then towed to the ramp.
