From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Description of medical event:

During cruise phase of flight, the first officer stepped out of the flight deck to use the lavatory. While standing and waiting to be unoccupied, the first officer fainted in the forward galley area.

The flight crew member regained consciousness seconds after and was relocated to an open seat in the cabin; a doctor and two nurses supported the cabin crew members in assessing the flight crew member. The captain informed dispatch and elected to divert to calgary. Upon arrival, paramedics met the aircraft and assessed the first officer, who was then released for further medical follow up. The first officer deadheaded home immediately after.
