From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 10/24/2024, roughly around 8:50PM, during a night cross-country flight, privacy data omitted landed safely at Okeechobee airport (obe). Aircraft proceeded to taxi down bravo taxiway. During taxi, observed were two other aircraft in the vicinity: one holding short of runway 5 and the other commencing pesticide operations by the hangar was soon to be pulling out on to the taxiway. As aircraft approached the hangar, crew noticed cones positioned at the end of the taxiway, indicating potential restrictions in the area. Given the absence of designated run-up pads on runway 5, they decided to position aircraft in front of the hangar to be out of way. However, as they maneuvered the aircraft the pilot-controlled lights timed out, putting crew and aircraft into darkness. Before crew could react, the aircrafts leading edge made contact with the corner of the hangar. Only minor damage to leading edge was reported. No damage to hangar reported.

As the FAA filed it

ON 10/24/2024, ROUGHLY AROUND 8:50PM, DURING A NIGHT CROSS-COUNTRY FLIGHT, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ LANDED SAFELY AT OKEECHOBEE AIRPORT (OBE).
