From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot departed kdto for a personal flight @ 0857 and returned to kdto @ 1058. While on final, pilot was tracking the ILS, approx 20 feet off the runway, the pilot experienced what he described as a 20 kt gust. The pilot promptly corrected for the gust. Pilot touched down tail low as usual. The plane "hopped" a few times and began to drift to the right. Pilot applied full control inputs opposite the drift. The full inputs had no correcting effect. The aircraft departed the right side of the runway and collided with soem temporary irragation pipes above ground. This is when the right main gear collapsed causing the prop to strike the ground and bring the engine to a sudden stop. Upon inspection, there was large patches of skin on the right wing that were wrinkled.
