From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Instructor pilot and student pilot took off at approximately 12:45 (PST). On first pattern during final approach at approximately 25 feet AGL, aircraft flew into a flock of birds. One bird glanced off the windscreen in front of the right seat. A different bird hit the right wing, which made a considerably larger noise. They were going approximately 65 KIAS. They made a normal landing, after which they told Renton tower that they had a bird strike and had to make this a full stop.

They then taxied to befa, and shut down. During post flight, they discovered a dent in the right wing thatwas caused by athe bird. The bird that hit the windscreen didn’t seem to have made any damage.
