From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While conducting instrument approach into jca after the main wheels touched down on runway, 3 deer were observed running perpendicular to runway close to front of aircraft. Go around power was immediately applied and aircraft took off from runway. As aircraft returned to air, loud bang was observed and pilot states he knew aircraft had sustained an impact. During climb out, pilot contacted atlanta approach and declared emergency. Pilot was diverted to lzu where 2 low approaches were conducted to ensure nose gear was still intact. An uneventful landing occurred followed by a taxi to the FBO at lzu. No injuries were sustained.
