From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Instructor was on a training flight with a student pilot.

Aircraft was established on final, student was coming in low below the glide slope. Student was instructed to add power and level the airplane. Student corrected and re-established themselves on the glide-slope with adequate airspeed, and added full flaps. With full flaps the aircraft began to sink below the glide-slope. The student was instructed to increase the power and lower the nose due to low airspeed. Student added power but attempted to correct sink rate with nose up pitch and pulled the yoke aft, there also a shift from direct headwind to crosswind. Instructor grabbed the controls and added full power to go around and was able to improve the decent rate but the aircraft still impacted onto the runway and sheard nosewheel.
