From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On February 14, 2025 at approximately 15:45 EST, the PICprivacy data omittedof the Piper arrow PA-28R-200 was relocating the aircraft from kvcn to ksrq after return to service from annual inspection. On approach to ksrq a miscommunication occurred between the PIC and srq ATC resulting in the PIC attempting final approach to the incorrect runway (04). ATC had sequenced the aircraft to land on runway 014 and provided immediate course correction to runway 04 which required large "s" turns for aircraft sequencing separation. In the confusion, the PIC became task saturated, failed to complete the final approach checklist, while the aircraft remained in cruise configuration and the landing gear was not lowered. The PIC stated that the aircraft is not equipped with a gear configuration horn and that the he does not recall noticing the warning gear up light illuminated prior to touchdown. The aircraft experienced engine sudden stoppage, damage to the propeller, nose gear doors, comm/nav antennas, underside of fuselage (airframe) and flap inboard trailing edges.

As the FAA filed it

ON FEBRUARY 14, 2025 AT APPROXIMATELY 15:45 EST, THE PIC^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^OF THE PIPER ARROW PA-28R-200 WAS RELOCATING THE AIRCRAFT FROM KVCN TO KSRQ AFTER RETURN TO SERVICE FROM ANNUAL INSPECTION.
