From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircraft was circling the traffic pattern performing touch and go practice. On the third landing attempt the aircraft was seen banking sharply left and, in a nose-high attitude, dipping back to the right before it impacted the runway between the demarcation bar and the threshold markings on approach to runway 20. The aircraft slid off to the west side of the runway, flipped over, and was consumed by a post impact fire. There were 2 onboard the aircraft at the time of the crash. There were no survivors.
