From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft was conducting a ferry flight from europe to Florida. The pilot requested jet-a on his fuel stop in sept-Îles, Canada (cyzv), the provider at sept-Îles (cyzv) confirmed jet-a was requested, and would be given prior to flying to Bangor (kbgr). PIC was on the phone with u.s customs when on the ground in sept-Îles, (cyzv) preparing for his border crossing and had no communication with aircraft refuelers. In sept-Îles (cyzv) the aircraft was fueled with approx. 131 liters of av-gas 100LL. Placards next to fuel cell fill ports both state “warning jet A-1”. 5 miles out from Bangor International (kbgr), the engine failed in flight, the PIC declared an emergency and landed safely at Bangor (kbgr) at 1810 local. Maintenance personnel conducted a fuel sample on the ramp and the presence of av-gas was witnessed on April 2nd. privacy data omitted Has been notified of the event through the FAA international field office.
