From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 04/01/2025 an accident occured involving UAS make and model, inspired flight IF1200A with registration number FA3CEY and serial number 1791553430. The pilot stated that he was in the middle of an 'mission' for the company that he works for. He did not have a visual observer at the time. He stated that a contractor had asked if they could move an aerial target. At this time the pilot lost situational awareness of the UAS as he answered the contractors question. Once he turned his attention back to the 'drone' he could not locate it. It collided with the electrical tower and the payload become dislodged from the 'drone'. The 'drone' and the payload landed on a building below the tower. At the time the pilot could not assess the damage on the inside of the building. But the 'drone' had substantial damage. The accident was reported on 05/05/2025.
