From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Flight consisted of one leg from bct (boca raton) to lal. On final approach to lal rwy 28, the pilot was in the process of rounding out the descent over the threshold and added power to flatten out the aircraft attitude. He thought he was 2-3 feet above the runway surface, but he said he was actually 5 -6 feet. Engine parameters 2000RPM @ 12-13 inhg. As he rounded the descent, he stated that the sink rate increased and the aircraft bounced, the gear departed and the aircraft then settled on rwy 28. This is when the propeller impacted the ground as the aircrft slid to a stop. Once the aircraft stopped, the pilot got out and was standing outside the aircraft when emergency response arrived. The pilot admitted that he messed up the landing. I am recommending retraining/reexamination 44709 by ops inspector unless determined otherwise

As the FAA filed it
