From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On June 21, 2025, privacy data omitted was on a visual approach for on runway 23 at the Terre Haute regional airport (khuf) Terre Haute, IN. While performing the landing checklist, the pilot stated he received a radio call from ATC. Due to this distraction, the pilot stated he failed to complete the landing checklist, and landing gear extension was not initiated. The pilot continued the approach to land. During the landing phase and round out, the pilot stated that he heard the propeller scrap on the runway. The pilot initiated a go-around. The aircraft experienced low performance during departure, and the pattern was flown at a lower than standard altitude. While on downwind, the pilot was able to lower the landing gear. The aircraft landed on runway 23 and taxied to the ramp without further incident.

Upon inspection of the aircraft, approximately 4 inches of material from each blade was missing. Both flaps exhibited signs of scraping, with one rivet missing from the left flap trailing edge. Aircraft damage is considered minimal and no injuries sustained. Airport operations conducted a FOD inspection and confirmed debris on runway 23.
