What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
On 07/05/2025 at approximately 1920 hours, N6370K, a Cessna 150M, struck an unoccupied aircraft, N6054A, a Cessna 172, which was parked in the ramp area causing damage to both aircraft. The airman had landed at 41U after experiencing what he described as an alternator failure without incident. He parked the aircraft in the ramp area and exited the aircraft with the other occupant who was a passenger. He said he was curious to see if the aircraft could be started via a hand prop start. The airman re entered the aircraft and sat at the pilot station, left hand seat, while the passenger attempted to hand start the engine by turning the propeller. The engine engaged and the aircraft accelerated, advancing about 20 feet forward until it struck a parked aircraft, N6054A, where it came to a stop. No injuries were reported and neither aircraft had intentions for flight.
