From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The PIC operated the aircraft from the Aurora Municipal Airport (karr) after having maintenance performed on the aircraft. The PIC was operating the aircraft to the home base of page field airport (kfmy) with a planned stop at the music city executive airport (kxnx). Approximately 15 minutes after departure, the PIC noticed the ammeter discharging. Shortly after, the aircraft lost all electrical power, except for the attitude indicator and the horizontal situation indicator (HSI); both of which have independent battery power.

The PIC did not troubleshoot the situation nor perform an abnormal/emergency checklist. The PIC chose to return to karr and navigated there. The landing gear system is driven by an electrical motor, therefore the gear had to be lowered using the emergency gear extension. The PIC lowered the gear by turning the emergency gear extension handle approximately 40-50 revolutions, until the PIC was unable to turn the handle any further. With no electrical power, the gear indication light did not illuminate to provide a gear down and locked indication.

The PIC received light gun signals from the local control at karr. The PIC was provided with the light gun signal representing a clearance to land. The aircraft touched down uneventfully on runway 15. As the aircraft decelerated during rollout, all 3 landing gear collapsed under the weight of the aircraft.

As the FAA filed it
