From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During the final approach to runway 18, the pilot aligned the aircraft appropriately and executed standard crosswind and downwind radio calls. The airspeed was reduced to 80 knots as the descent continued towards the runway for a centerline approach. Upon initial touchdown, the aircraft experienced a bounce, leading to a second contact with the runway. This unexpected bounce startled the pilot, resulting in an excessive application of the right brake pedal. Consequently, the aircraft veered off the runway centerline. The aircraft's left wing leading edge impacted an airport sign, in the process of the uncontrolled exiting of the runway. The aircraft eventually came to a complete stop off the runway surface.

As the FAA filed it
