From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot in command of privacy data omittedCessna 172 planned a touch-and-go states ATIS information golf reported winds 140 degrees at 7 knots. He conducted stabilized final approach with a slight left crab for crosswind. During rollout phase, in preparation for touch-and-go, he advanced the throttle. States he believes the power was applied too abruptly resulting in uncommanded yaw left. Directional control could not be regained quickly enough, he made decision to allow aircraft to exit runway surface onto adjacent grass area in a controlled manner. He maintained control and brought aircraft to a stop near taxiway a/g. immediately contacted tower for instructions. Followed tower instructions to taxi to safe location. Shut down at FBO and conducted walk around to visually look for any damage to aircraft. Had airport operations personnel inspect aircraft to confirm no damage and no damage to airport property and no debris on the field.
