From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On July 23, 2025, pilot conducted a local pleasure flight that lasted 8/10TH of an hour. Aircraft was a C-170, privacy data omitted - PIC was the only occupant. Upon return to Concord, PIC entered left downwind for 3 5. PIC was the only aircraft in the pattern at that time. Winds were reported as calm. The landing and rollout was smooth and uneventful. As the PIC neared the exit to A3, he started to steer to the left to exit the runway. As he got closer to the intersection, he hit the brakes to slow down and the left brake did not work and could not slow down. At that point PIC decided to steer back down the runway to completely stop but contacted the A3 ramp sign. After shutting down the aircraft, PIC discovered the brake line fitting on the left wheel was out of the caliper and leaking fluid. The plane was hand pushed to the tiedown.
