From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

PIC was conducting aerial spray operations under NOTAM fcm 07/051 with Dji agras T30 - N787CS at 17:56 local time on July 28th, near 160th street west, marystown, Minnesota 55379, when the controller halted the operation with the message “propulsion error, land immediately.” he started the flight back to our staging area, when nearing the edge of the field about 50 yards from the loading area, he witness a flash in motor 3 and it began dripping flames. Just as the ua cleared field the motor seized, violently rolling it to the left at about 15 feet above the ground, as it stalled and dropped the control software recovered back to level and smashed the landing legs in the ditch. At this point the motor 3 became fully engulfed in flame at which point I went down and put out the flames with water on hand. He shut down the drone and removed the battery.
